DILO (Day in the life of) is a photo project where you document one day of your life in pictures. I did it once in 2006 on just some random day, but this year I went with the crowd and did it on the summer solstice.

I wont post them all here, but you can check them out on Flickr.

Lets say hypothetically I were to start another podcast (or netcast). I could never do a personal podcast, because no body wants to hear that. At least I don’t. The podcasts I listen to (Mainly Diggnation and TWiT) are news, interviews, and round table discussions. If i am going to put through the effort of making a podcast, i want to make something that at least some people will want to listen to.

I was thinking maybe some kind of college show. Like what college kids think of technology today. Because I think TWiT and Diggnation make so many assumptions on what students do with technology. I’m not trying to say that they are old, but technology has deffinately changed since they were attending a University.

But again, to do anything interesting, I would want some kind of round table disscussion. If I asked some of my friends, I’m sure some of them would oblige. But would anyone listen to a handful of college kids talking about technology?

I’ve still got some time to mull this over. Also, I’m thinking of buying a domain for myself soon. That would probably help.

No I intend to stick with my friends for now. Personal Bloging on LJ has been Great! I love it. But there’s still something about being so far away from the nerd-dom thats got me typing on this old thing again.

The way I see it, I can still have my LJ as my most personal of mediums, and still maintain a public wordpress account, so that nobody can care, and I will feel like a nerd again.

Besides, how am I supposed to podcast on LJ?

The public domain doesn’t seem right for me. Sure i like to blog, but there just a different kind of blogging in the private communities than there is in the public domain. ANd i think that LJ is the right choice.

I will still be as geeky as ever, and use bloglines. but as far as blogging goes, the occasional public post might occur on my LJ. But for the most part, my blogging will be a private affair.

As a result of the move, feeds might be broken, and links might change. should be expected.
From now on you can find me on Korun.livejournal.com . Add me as a friend if you want to be added, or shoot me a message.

No one ever read this any way. I never got the feedback that i wanted. But i guess it’s to be expected when your using a standalone service.

On my way to work I was listening to Inside the Net where they were interviewing Mena Trott, co-founder of six apart. six apart started by making wordpress (this blog is on wordpress), which has since become the most wideply used standalone blogging software. they later went on to create typepad, a dulled down version but still widely used. then with all this revenue, they aquisitioned Livejournal. now with the experiance and back-end-knowledge of all 3 they are creating a new product, called Vox. and through out the whole interview they kept comparing it to LJ, while also saying that the software itself made it fun to blog.

And it just got me thinking. Have i lost the fun of blogging? i thought wordpress would bring it back, but really being in the public domain changes the experiance of blogging (vox is very private, and LJ has the option to be private). I remember in my early days on Xanga, blogging was actually fun.

So the issue i have been battling inside my head is this. I want to blog. I want it to be social, but i also want it to be easy and accessible. Right now WordPress is very easy, and somewhat accessible. LJ is very private, hence making it very social, but in itself is a whole system and community.

The main question is, do i stay in the public domain and remain remote, or do i move to LJ and remove myself from the public, while emrsing myself with my friends. There are obvious pros and cons to both sides.

So please let me know what you think in the comments.

As many of you know, i've had some problems with wordpress recently. Mainly with the comments.

It started when Alex's comments were being marked as spam. Imagine my suprise when i looked at my dashboard one day to find 8 spam comments all from Alex lmao.

After that was fixed, Every comment was being held for moderation. I don't want to have to approve every single comment. SO today I have finally fixed it.

The setting was an anti-spam condition. That would hold comments with 2 or more Hyperlinks in it for moderation. Thinking that I didn't need this setting, i left the field blank. SO I guess this is what was doing it.

So go ahead and comment away, and have satisfaction in the fact that your comment will be instantly visible. Just don't put in 2 or more hyperlinks lol.

Well Bamboozle 2006 was this weekend. This was the first year they switched to an outdoor venue, due to the sheer size of the crowd there. I was always quite fond of Asbury Park, not only because of its historical and nostalgic feeling, but because it was on the beach, and we could get Nelly's pizza afterwards

Saturday was nuts. Saw most of the bands on our list. At Armor for Sleep though, some girl fell down in the pit, and it looked like she was having a seizure. The Medical tents were getting alot of action this weekend. Then Fall Out Boy was packed because everyone who came that day pretty much came just for them. If you look at the pictures, they are small and blurry because it was dark, and we were a Long ways away from the stage.

Sunday, Mike and Danielle came with us, so we could each go to bands we wanted to see. The guy from Emanuel had strep throat so that was kind of dissapointing. At Underoath, the crowd was fucking nuts. The pits kept forming, and the crowd surfers kept comming. One hit me directly in the back of the head, and sent my hat flying. And some stupid girl picked it up and threw it, because Throwing stuff IS SOOOOO COOL. Anyways, i spent the rest of the set watching it being thrown around until the end when i found it on the ground amoungst ripped up posters and other crap.

Method Man got an awesome crowd response. I stuck around for a while before Mike and I went to see a band he wanted to see, Fall of Troy. Then VAN STONE!!!!! BEst preformance of all weekend hands down!! THey are an 80's Metal Revival / Theatric Joke Band. Meaning they like to use props during their songs, and make the whole things funny. I ordered the CD yesterday morning off of their website, so I can give it out once it gets here. In the meantime, check out their Myspace, or their Website.

Panic! At the Disco was a little dissapointing for me. I have always loved their CD, But their live perfomance and their CD performance were very different just because the CD version is so post produced. Maybe I was just expecting too much, or I didn't stick around long enough. H.I.M. Was also dissapointing. The guy just stood there and sung, and didn't move around at all. I was also dissapointed that he was wearing a suit and tie, because if you are familiar with his videos and CD covers, he usually doesn't.

A.F.I. and Taking Back Sunday closed the night, and they were Awesome! Mike was dissapointed that A.F.I. Played mostly only their latest CD, but I didn't mind. Then Taking Back Sunday was amazing. Then one kid from the audiance climed the Parking Sector lamp post thing that lets you know where you park. He got so far up, i was sure he was just going to stay there and make the Fire Dept. get him down. But he got down ok, only to be arrested lol.

A great weekend. Check the Pictures.

As for the end of the semester, I was officially finished Yesterday. But I stil have one more shift to work tonight, and then I can pack up and move out. We leave for Orlando on thursday, so i have a day to relax and chill out. I will probably spend it going to the mall anyways, because I need new shoes, but i didnt want to get them before Bamboozle lol.

And a quick blog update, I added a module for My Bloglines Blog Clips. So now you can check out the stories that I find interesting. ALso if you haven't noticed yet, My URL is a direct link to the About Me page. I figure that it would be nicer to have a kind of cover page for people who stumble across my URL on Myspace or Facebook and such. If you want a direct link to the blog, you can find it here. RSS feeds shouldn't be affected.

But it’s not really about your IQ on Deal or No Deal. It’s about mental fortitude and character. If you think you can apply logic on our stage, good luck.

It’s all about emotion, and that’s why my job can be so easy. When you’re cracking I can see it. When you’re vulnerable, I’ll go for your throat.

It has come to my attention several times (Alex, Bern, Joff) that there are certain complaints about my blog. Allow me to address them here in this post

1st of all, let it be said that My blog is my blog. Where i choose to do my blogging is my own choice. And the choice of wordpress has been made. That said..

1) Personal Substance.

I know there has been a drop in personal posts on my blog recently. But consider this. Until now, my blog entries have been limited to the same computer. And by the time i get back to my room, i am already knee deep in new RSS feed items, and my head is filled with geeky-ness.

But with the freedom of wordpress, i can make (more) personal entries at work, in berns room, in the library, where-ever! And i promise THEY ARE COMING! I'm not going to write 20 over-night so hang in there

2) Lack of optical stimulation

If you want color, here it is. Hence the flexibly of wordpress. One click, change color options, whole new look. Easy.

Any other feedback (Positive or negative) is welcome, but be aware that i am here at wordpress, and i don't plan on changing anytime soon.
