Reen,

From what I can gather, the Contra Cotsa Times has only been in print since 1947.

The Montclarion here at MSU has been in print since 1928. I believe that since we have the seniority, the Contra Costa Times should change the title of their weekly coulmn.

hah, I didn't know that there was another Montclarion.

But yeah, I don't really have much pull when it comes to changing the name. I'm just a lowly contributer. But even so, I don't think the name is going to change any time soon.

God, Mat. Did you know your paper shares a name with the Rag of a village in Oakland
California that has been in operation since 1923?

We love our Montclairion, and love our town. Please change the name of the paper
if it sucks.

Yeah the color is pretty obscene, but the features are pretty good for a free wordpress.com account.

And thanks for the feedback guys. I think I will try to submit this article to other publications.

Also look for next weeks issue, I'm planning an article on DRM.

Dear Mr McCullough: I like your Op-Ed on Net Neutrality in this week's Montclarion! This is an important issue.

I wrote on this subject to _Bloomfield Life_ some months ago. It's now on the BlueWaveNJ site at

http://bluewavenj.org/media_reform/net_neutralityt_GF.htm

I urge you to submit your Op-Ed piece to your local newspaper (wherever you live), and -- why not? -- to the Star-Ledger. Get the word out!

And please, keep up the good work on The Montclarion. We need good progressive voices on campus.

Sincerely,

Grover Furr

Actually, I like Montclairion. It has tons of uses.

You can use it as packing paper.

You can put it over a puddle of water on the floor so that people won't slip.

You can crumple one page, then roll the rest up and play baseball in the hallway.

If one of the legs of your desk is shorter than the other you can just grab some montclairions and prop it up so that it is leveled.

I hear that the Pottery classes take whole stacks of them from Calcia and Student center when they fire up their work.

Oh, and the police report page is usually hilarious. So it is really a great thing we have going here. ;)

I can't really criticize it on merit though because I don't really read it unless someone points out that they found "yet another ridiculous security breach" on campus.

Btw, this fluorescent green theme is really hard on the eyes.
