The newest citizen of Azeroth
Yes, I have joined the legions of the Horde, and have become a hunter of Azeroth.
For those not in the know, I have started playing World of Warcraft. And it is AWESOME!
Firstly I opted to let Manny refer-a-friend me. I get a free 10 days for trying it out, and he gets a free month for recruiting me. Then, I bought the CD-key online, and saved $10 off the retail price for the game, and downloaded the client for free. Infact, I downloaded the client for free twice, on berns computer. And I might even end up doing it again on the desktop.
As far as the game is concerned, the questing system is addicting! Most MMORPG's require mindless dungeon runs, and repititious boss kills to get major EXP. But WOW makes you recieve and turn in quests, so that its never boring.
So far I am a lvl 15 Troll Hunter. My character name is "Noxix" and the server is Darkspear (PVP). I joined mainly because that was Manny's server, but also the story of the game makes PVP pretty necessary (There are non-PVP servers, but those are for wusses).
So yeah, if you have WOW, look me up. And yes, this is why i haven't been on AIM in a while. WOW is ruling my life lol.
First week of summer work
Well if the first week of work was any indication, its going to be a long and interesting summer.
I had the idea earlier this week to keep a list of case numbers for “interesting” calls. Sort of like a helpdesk hall of fame. That way, we can all look back and say, “Oooooh, i remember this one”
In slightly related news, because I no longer have educational obligations during the summer, I’ve decided that I will be getting into WoW (World of Warcraft). Anyone who wants to “Refer-a-friend” me can do so, so you can get a free month off of me lol.
iPod Overload
Well it finally happened again.
After converting my entire library to trim 128 kbps AAC files, my iPod was on a well deserved diet, and with that, i could stuff all kinds of music onto it.
But finally, after getting some classic stuff I've been wanting (including the entire Led Zeppelin studio discography), iTunes has just given me the iPod overload message. So now it's time to watch what my iPod eats I suppose. So I've started trimming back the albums that i really have no intrest in, or ones that I know suck, but kept them around anyways.
Also I finally got my Van Stone CD in the mail, so you should deffinitly check that out. It's soon to become my favorite album of all time.
Orlando 2006
Just got back from Orlando last night, and it was awesome!
We were very busy going to the different parks, but the crowds were very good.
Photos are on flickr, but watch out, we took ALOT.
Leaving for Orlando
I am litterally just finishing up packing up the laptop to leave for Orlando. Our flight is in a few hours, so we leave today, and we will be back in about a week.
So see you soon, expect pictures.
Myspace Deleting Underage Profiles
This is a post I've been meaning to make for a while now.
In case you didn't hear this gem about Myspace deleting Underage profiles, It apparantly doesnt just apply to the youngins. Anyone who lies about their profile gets their profile deleted.
There is this kid Nick, who is a friend of Bern's family, who is one of those annoying kids that just bug the crap out of you. So one day I noticed his Myspace profile age was set as 22 years old. So as a joke, i reported him. Within a week, he got the following E-mail.
Subject: MySpace Account Cancellation
Hello,Please note that you do not meet the required age limit as per MySpace.com's Terms of Service, or you have misrepresented your
age on the MySpace.com system.
We deleted your account because you have violated the Terms of Service.
Do not create another account on MySpace.com until you reach the required age, or use the correct age on your profile if you are old enough to have an account. If you meet our required age limit, please sign up with your correct age.
Thank you,
MySpace
And as a reward, i got this E-mail about a week later.
Hello,
Thank you for reporting this profile. The profile in question is
scheduled to be deleted.Thank you,
MySpace.com
Now isn't a little unfair that the first step is account deletion. It even states in that first E-mail, that the account age could have been entered in-correctly. So what if someone does accidently enter the wrong age, and they eventually get caught. It's a bit unfair that they delete the account first thing IMHO. At the very least, there should be a stern warning E-mail before the deletion step. Myspace has once again, become a giant douche bag.
As long as we are talking about Myspace, go download the Brand New MyspaceIM that you will never use. And go buy the Myspace phone, so you can send out brainless bulletins while you are AFK.
I should just go back to boycotting Myspace, the whole thing makes no sense.
Bamboozle 2006 + Spring Semester Recap + Some Blog Update
Well Bamboozle 2006 was this weekend. This was the first year they switched to an outdoor venue, due to the sheer size of the crowd there. I was always quite fond of Asbury Park, not only because of its historical and nostalgic feeling, but because it was on the beach, and we could get Nelly's pizza afterwards
Saturday was nuts. Saw most of the bands on our list. At Armor for Sleep though, some girl fell down in the pit, and it looked like she was having a seizure. The Medical tents were getting alot of action this weekend. Then Fall Out Boy was packed because everyone who came that day pretty much came just for them. If you look at the pictures, they are small and blurry because it was dark, and we were a Long ways away from the stage.
Sunday, Mike and Danielle came with us, so we could each go to bands we wanted to see. The guy from Emanuel had strep throat so that was kind of dissapointing. At Underoath, the crowd was fucking nuts. The pits kept forming, and the crowd surfers kept comming. One hit me directly in the back of the head, and sent my hat flying. And some stupid girl picked it up and threw it, because Throwing stuff IS SOOOOO COOL. Anyways, i spent the rest of the set watching it being thrown around until the end when i found it on the ground amoungst ripped up posters and other crap.
Method Man got an awesome crowd response. I stuck around for a while before Mike and I went to see a band he wanted to see, Fall of Troy. Then VAN STONE!!!!! BEst preformance of all weekend hands down!! THey are an 80's Metal Revival / Theatric Joke Band. Meaning they like to use props during their songs, and make the whole things funny. I ordered the CD yesterday morning off of their website, so I can give it out once it gets here. In the meantime, check out their Myspace, or their Website.
Panic! At the Disco was a little dissapointing for me. I have always loved their CD, But their live perfomance and their CD performance were very different just because the CD version is so post produced. Maybe I was just expecting too much, or I didn't stick around long enough. H.I.M. Was also dissapointing. The guy just stood there and sung, and didn't move around at all. I was also dissapointed that he was wearing a suit and tie, because if you are familiar with his videos and CD covers, he usually doesn't.
A.F.I. and Taking Back Sunday closed the night, and they were Awesome! Mike was dissapointed that A.F.I. Played mostly only their latest CD, but I didn't mind. Then Taking Back Sunday was amazing. Then one kid from the audiance climed the Parking Sector lamp post thing that lets you know where you park. He got so far up, i was sure he was just going to stay there and make the Fire Dept. get him down. But he got down ok, only to be arrested lol.
A great weekend. Check the Pictures.
As for the end of the semester, I was officially finished Yesterday. But I stil have one more shift to work tonight, and then I can pack up and move out. We leave for Orlando on thursday, so i have a day to relax and chill out. I will probably spend it going to the mall anyways, because I need new shoes, but i didnt want to get them before Bamboozle lol.
And a quick blog update, I added a module for My Bloglines Blog Clips. So now you can check out the stories that I find interesting. ALso if you haven't noticed yet, My URL is a direct link to the About Me page. I figure that it would be nicer to have a kind of cover page for people who stumble across my URL on Myspace or Facebook and such. If you want a direct link to the blog, you can find it here. RSS feeds shouldn't be affected.

Through the Fire and the Flames
Oh man!!!
Oh Man!!!
Today is one of those morning where you wake up incoherent, and you think to yourself… "Holy Shit, I saw Dragonforce last night!"
Right now i still have ringing in my ears, and my neck hurts from rocking out, but it was fucking worth it.
We drove into Hoboken and took the path to get to the Avalon. If you've never been there, the Avalon is a Club that was converted from a Church. So when we got to the corner, we looked for a sign or something, but then we saw a line of kids in black t-shirts, so we agreed that it must be the place.
The 2 opening bands, Sanctity and Protest the Hero. Sactity was definitely awful, but there were mixed feelings about Protest. Elyse and Jay liked them alot, but i just wasn't feeling it. Felt like Blood Brothers all over again.
But then Dragonforce Holy CRAP!!! I fucking went nuts. Fury of the Storm I definitely got nuts, but Through the Fire and the Flames, the lead singer divided the room in half, so there was a clear path down the center, and when the music started all hell broke loose.
Dragonforce is Amazing to watch, if you have ever seen their video. Herman Li moves his fingers across the guitar at lightning speeds. But when you are live right there, you kind of want to watch him play live, but then again, you want to fuck around in the pit lol.
I found it funny, that i realized this. Dragonforce has never released a single album in the US, they only have 4 songs on their MySpace and Official website, and yet they Sold out NYC in their 2nd US show, First NYC appearance. AMAZING! Dragonforce is going to be big, and I am going to love it.
Pictures from tonight are on Flickr
They are coming back on another tour over the summer they said. Any takers?
