A Day in the Life of Matthew
After Elyse did the same thing, I tried this out.
Basically I took pictures of everything throught my day, and added descriptions and notes on Flickr.

At the moment this is what my schedule looks like. Yes i am taking "Beginning Karate" And yes, it is in University Hall. Dare i say it? Flipping Awesome?
Everything else is in Richardson. But at least i got into chemistry with Whitener.
This makes for a busy schedule. Put on top of this, work at OIT (Considering jumping to tier 4 Yikes!) and potentially technology liason (sp?) for The Normal Review, and you have the ingredients for a Hectic Fall 2006 Semester.
But im out of Bohn Hall for Sure!!!
Goodbye 30boxes, Hello Google Calendar
Just a short announcement that I have given up on 30 Boxes's flaws, and now use Google Calendar. They E-mail a daily agenda to you every morning with that day's events, and you can easily share and view public calendars.
My calendar feed has changed accordingly.
Never a dull moment with WOW
This video comes from some assholes on a WOW PvP server.
The story goes, this one guy from some guild died IRL, and he was still online, or someone logged on as him, so they could have an online funeral in WOW (I've been to weddings in Ragnarok Online, but a funeral?). Anyways, whatever forum it was, the guild posted on it to invite people to pay their respects to the guys character.
Well the Serenity Now guild payed their respects by destroying everyone in attendance to the funeral, and filmed it.
Sure it was an asshole thing to do, but you can't help but think its funny. If I ever got into WOW, I always thought I would go with a non PvP server, just cause I always got pissed off at global PvP in RO, but it seems the PvP servers are always hopping, either bad or good.
Red Bull gives you w-i-i-iiings!!
Last night, Oh Man!
Lets start at the beginning. I had some lunch in the middle of the day, and to drink, i went out into the garage to get a soda, when i saw my case of Red Bull from the end of the fall semester. So i said to myself "Whoa, its been a while, so why not?" I ended up saying the same question to myself at around 8pm when mike came over.
And it wasn't even a placebo effect. Like the first few times you drink Red Bull, you expect to feel like "WIIIIINGS!!!" but you don't. But, when you drink 2 without even thinking about it, you DO get that feeling, and it doesn't even hit you at first. I think it hit me when i started SINGING the guitar solo to Metallica – Master of puppets, when I said "HOLY SHIT! I'm Hyper LOL"
I'm pretty sure i was really freaking annoying to Dave, Mike, And everyone on Halo 2 last night lmao. So I'm sorry guys. And I'm pretty sure the words "I'm gayer than springtime tonight" came out of my mouth. I'd hate to see what 2 red Bulls and some alcohol would do to me (GEEZE!!) lol.
But something about a 5 piece chicken nugget from wendy's made me crash. and at around one, after listening to Mitch Headburg, everyone left, and i calmed down. So i played Big Team Battle until about 4am, watch south park, and went to bed.
Now i have to do my calculus project today. Almost the end!!! And I need to call ticketmaster about my tickets they never gave me soon, lol.
Firefox Ads
I Really hope they put these on TV or something. This is by far my favorite.
I was RIGHT! Everyone has a blog!
You probably think I’m about to bust on our players’ IQs. I don’t do that. I don’t think the people who come to face me are stupider than I am. Everyone is stupider than I am so there really isn’t a point in singling out the contestants.
But it’s not really about your IQ on Deal or No Deal. It’s about mental fortitude and character. If you think you can apply logic on our stage, good luck.
It’s all about emotion, and that’s why my job can be so easy. When you’re cracking I can see it. When you’re vulnerable, I’ll go for your throat.
I love my job.
Japanese Garden
HDR pictures are better when there is no sky I think. The sky just makes everything look fake, and not more vivid. This one looks great.
Re invent the urinal
In the new building on campus we have flush-less urinals to cut back on water consumption. Unfortionately IT gets stuck with the kiddy size lol
Nearing the end of the semester
There are litterally 4 weeks left in this semester, and i don't think that it is enough!
I still have to register for fall classes, sign up for housing, do a walking report for religion, a big computer science project, and all kinds of math and mythology head hurting. Oy!
And i still need to figure out what i am going to do for a job over the summer. If I had my way, I'd work here, but I'm not sure if that will be possible.
Expect a 4th podcast soon, I promise lol.
Yahoo! Widget Engine

Last night I went to the lounge to study Comp Sci with john, and i noticed he had some widgets on his desktop. I asked him what it was, and he told me that Konfaulator had become part of Yahoo's "Yahoo! Widget Engine"
So last night i downloaded it and gave it a try, and WOW! I love it! All of them for the most part have been seen before of other desktop enhancement programs i've used (See google sidebar, DS sidebar) Except, for a few widgets, my favorite in particular is iTunes agent.
Not only does it display the album art of the song you are listening to, but if there is no album art, it will find it, download it, and export it to iTunes for you! And lyrics too!!!! So now, im letting it play like everysone i own, so i can fill up my album arts and lyrics!
The picture frame is cool too, because it can connect to your Flickr ever since Yahoo bought Flickr. And everything in general is nice and shinny.
Yahoo! Widget Engine gets my Thumbs Up!
Cherry Tree
I plan on taking alot of pictures on campus once the trees bloom again.
Too Much Drama
The title may be a little mis-leading. I'm not talking about myself here.
It seems everytime i check my Livejournal friends, or read my Xanga subs, there is always some drama going on. And i don't know if I should be thankful that I am spared of trip back to adolensence, or if I should be jealous that i am not in the loop.
For the most part, I feel thankful that I am spared. The most drama I encounter is people not liking the colors on my new blog (you guys should be pouring the positive feed back on me right now, I'm suprised)
In an un-realted note, Scooter is awesome techno.
The Downside to IT
I really like working at the IT dept. But ever since I started, a few things have bugged me. But one in particular for today, is the fact that the full-timers there (except for my supervisors) think they know everything.
For example, the other day, a woman had scheduled a media training thing or whatever in one of the class rooms on the 5th floor. So, to get into the room, she had the front desk call the helpdesk (me) to send someone out to open it. So i went to the training people to ask if room 50xx (whatever it was) was supposed to be opened.
The lady i talked to had no idea there was a training thing going on today, and gets all up in my grill, saying "there's no one using that room today, who told you that?". Finally she asks the lady in the VERY NEXT CUBICLE about the same thing, and she says "oh yeah, (whatever the lady's name was). Is she outside?" and then the first lady goes "see, that wasn't hard". What do you mean? You're the one who didn't know what was going on in YOUR OWN DEPT.
Next example is one of the full time desktop people, Matt. He's a cool guy, but when ever I ask him about someone who's calling he'll go "Who? If i haven't heard of them, then it's nobody" or something like that. And sure it's cute and all the first few times, but i don't think that's the attitude that Stacia (my boss) wants in the helpdesk regarding the clients.
